The Seoul International Women’s Film Festival, Korea’s largest women’s film festival, will take place from August 22 to 28 at CGV Yeonnam, Hongdae, and Cinecube Gwanghwamun. This year’s slogan, “The Power of Laughter,” emphasizes the diverse power of laughter and supports those who persistently move forward.

This year, the festival received a record-breaking 3,581 submissions, including 808 domestic and 2,773 international films, offering a diverse showcase of women’s cinema. The festival will open with the French film The Disorder of My Life, directed by the late Sophie Fillières.

The festival’s ambassador, actress Son Soo-hyun, known for her role in The Shepherd, will promote the event as the “Siwff Star.” The festival offers a unique opportunity to experience the diverse voices and stories of women filmmakers. We encourage everyone to join and enjoy the lineup.
