Nationwide ‘K-pop Playground’ to Boost Festivals and Tourism

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Visit Korea Committee, announced the ‘K-pop Playground’ event series. Held from May 31 to September, this series aims to celebrate K-pop culture while invigorating local festivals and tourist spots.

Event Highlights:

K-pop Random Play Dance Competitions:
  • Join top dance teams from ‘Street Woman Fighter’ and ‘Street Man Fighter,’ including HolyBang, Hook, LadyBounce, Bebe, and Ambitious.
K-culture Pop-up Stores:
  • Explore exclusive K-pop and K-beauty merchandise.

  • Chuncheon: May 31 (Chuncheon Mime Festival)
  • Busan: June 8 (Busan One Asia Festival)
  • Seoul (Hongdae): June 15 (Korea Beauty Festival)
  • Daegu: July 6 (Daegu Chimac Festival)
  • Boryeong: July 20 (Boryeong Mud Festival)
  • Haenam: August 3 (Haenam Civic Plaza)
  • Jeonju: August 17 (Jeonju World Sound Festival)
  • Gyeongju: August 31 (Gyeongju Cultural Hall 1918 Plaza)
  • Incheon: September 7 (Incheon K-pop Concert)
  • Seoul (Gwanghwamun): September 28 (Gwanghwamun Plaza)

Participation Details:
