Held annually at the Songdo Moonlight Festival Park in Incheon, the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival is Korea’s premier outdoor music festival. This rock-themed event features a wide array of domestic and international musicians, offering three days of diverse performances, event zones, food and beverage areas, and camping zones.

19th Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival: August 2 – August 4, 2024

Celebrating its 19th year, the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival will take place from August 2 to August 4, 2024, at the Songdo Moonlight Festival Park. This year’s lineup includes top Korean bands such as Day6, Silica Gel, Broccoli You Too, Se So Neon, and emerging favorites like QWER, as well as popular artists Sunwoo Jung-A and Jannabi. With last year’s record-breaking attendance of 150,000 people, this year’s festival is highly anticipated by fans and the general public alike.

Pentaport and Its Rainy Legacy

The Pentaport Rock Festival is famously intertwined with rain. Initially launched in 1999 as the “Triport Rock Festival,” it faced record-breaking rain that led to the cancellation of the second day’s performances. The festival was rebranded as the Pentaport Rock Festival in 2006, and despite the rain continuing to be a frequent guest, the performances have carried on. One notable moment was in 2006 when Julian Casablancas of The Strokes joined the audience in the rain during his set, creating a legendary memory. This consistent occurrence of rain has earned the festival the nickname “Rain Festival” among fans.
