Starting August 17, Gyeonggi Province will hold a variety of cultural events at Gyeonggi Peace Plaza, including an outdoor library, lawn movie festival, cultural performances, and a resident market.
Weekend Lawn Movie Festival
The “2024 Gyeonggi Peace Plaza Lawn Movie Festival” will run from August 17 to September 8 on weekends. The festival opens with Hero, followed by Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Later weeks feature WALL-E and The Day After Tomorrow. Movies are free, with a 500-inch LED screen and blankets available on a first-come basis.
Weekly Cultural Performances
Cultural performances will occur every Saturday from August 31 to October 26, featuring 24 local artists and groups performing music, theater, and traditional arts.
Resident Market
From September 21 to 29, a resident market will be held on weekends, offering local produce, handcrafted goods, and a flea market.
A Growing Cultural Space
Gyeonggi Province plans to expand these events to establish Gyeonggi Peace Plaza as a cultural hub for residents. Visit their website or social media for more details.
