Hydrangea Exhibition

The Morning Calm Arboretum in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, will host a ‘Hydrangea Exhibition’ from June 15 to July 14, 2024. Under the theme ‘Calm and Purple,’ the exhibition will showcase approximately 200 varieties of hydrangeas, including American Hydrangeas, Bigleaf Hydrangeas, Mountain Hydrangeas, and Oakleaf Hydrangeas. This event offers a rare opportunity for flower enthusiasts in the Seoul metropolitan area to enjoy the diverse species of hydrangeas typically found in southern regions.

This year, the arboretum has added 1,500 hydrangea plants, ensuring a richer and more vibrant display than last year. Key photo spots include the ‘Hydrangea Wall Photo Zone,’ adorned with charming garlands bearing heartfelt messages, and the ‘Smartphone Frame Photo Zone,’ which was a hit with visitors last year, promising unforgettable memories for all attendees.

In addition to hydrangeas, visitors can admire a variety of summer blooms such as irises, poppies, dahlias, and alliums, which will fill the garden with vibrant colors. For those looking to cool off, a refreshing creek is also available, making the visit a perfect summer retreat.
